Tra-fa-la-la-la-la

carles

My name is Carly, although I have a tendency to answer to Carles.
Carlsbad Canyon is a slip of the tongue from Carlsbad Cavern.
The picture above is my Halloween costume, Robin Wood.

I love clothing, fabrics, vintage, playing dress up and the rhetorical statements behind our individual style of dress and that of ourselves as a culture.

A rider of this recent wave of consciousness, I have a tendency to like to see all things (my personal belongings included) end up in the RIGHT spot.

Sometimes this means cleaning out the fridge to be sure its contents end up in the compost pile I keep in the backyard instead of in the trash fill.

Regularly, it means fishing through the trash bin to take out any item that is better suited for the recycling.

Other times it means driving to the south side of Chicago to bring house hold and clothing items to a community closet-- who invites those who could use it best to come and choose for themselves just what it is they need.

It also means that I would like to see clothing that I have much appreciated go to some one else who will appreciate it. That's why I am thankful for the Laws of the General Economy.

The second picture are the jewels and clutch I wore out and about considerably through out the holiday season.

Usually, my blog posts can be found at the Carles blog.

My experiment

Like it or not, I'm standing on both ends of the canyon right now. I'm in search of the best blog for blogging. I used to like Wordpress, but many people have told me Blogger is best. So I'm using both at the moment until I can decide which one is more carls-friendly!

Look forward to speaking, listening, and connecting with you!
